The journey
Key moments of Génération HINENI!
A seminar in Paris, two field trips, a restitution process and support for your commitment. Everything is designed to create a meaningful before, during and after that truly matter in your life.
Seminar: March 12–13
Rwanda: March 14–20
Poland: departure on April 27
A seminar in Paris, two field trips, a restitution process and support for your commitment. Everything is designed to create a meaningful before, during and after that truly matter in your life.
Two days to set the framework: understand the stakes of mass violence, meet the speakers, build the group and prepare the trips together. You don’t leave alone: you leave with a cohort that is close-knit and supported by FSJU NOÉ Youth Action.
Kigali, Nyamata, Murambi… In the heart of the memory of the genocide against the Tutsi, you meet survivors, local actors of justice and reconciliation, and engaged young people. You explore responsibility and the role of media, the state and citizens in the face of mass violence.
Warsaw, Kraków, Auschwitz-Birkenau, Majdanek… You explore the Shoah on the very sites where it unfolded—between ghettos, camps and traces of Jewish resistance. Each day ends with a debrief, writing and putting words to what you are going through.
Historians, educators, witnesses, activists: a team supports you at every step. Logbook, workshops, sharing circles, spiritual or symbolic moments: you are guided without being locked into a single narrative.
Génération HINENI! doesn’t end with the last return flight. You are supported to turn what you lived into a project: educational action, local initiative, intervention within an organization, content creation, associative or community engagement…
By joining Génération HINENI!, you enter a network of engaged young people and leaders, connected to all FSJU NOÉ Youth Action programs. The journey is one step in a longer story we build together.
The program is selective and designed for a human-sized group. Here is how we imagine the diversity of profiles and commitments within Génération HINENI!.
Youth movement leaders, educators, facilitators, community leaders, association leaders or young professionals wishing to integrate this memory work into their responsibilities.
Génération HINENI! is not a “school trip” nor a simple stay abroad. It’s a defining moment in your life: places that leave a mark, encounters that challenge you, a group that carries you, and support so that nothing remains abstract or purely theoretical. If this resonates with you, it may be the right time to show up.
Génération HINENI! is led by FSJU NOÉ Youth Action and is part of a network of memorial sites, institutions, associations and partners committed to transmission and the fight against hatred.
Leave us your contact details and a few words about you and your commitment. We will get back to you with practical information, dates and application details.
